THE PROJECT'S KEY POINTS
The LLO House, designed by the architectural studio OOIIO, is a single-family home located on a plot of land in Valdemorillo, near the Sierra de Madrid. The design of the house is inspired by the relationship between nature near and far, as well as the preservation of the existing trees on the plot. The design of the house is laid out in a way that avoids trees and takes advantage of the views towards the mountains.
The house becomes a "space pinwheel" that revolves around a double-height core that houses the staircase and connects the two floors. This arrangement gives the house a changing appearance from different points of view, depending on the time of day, the time of year and the location. The LLO House combines the interior design with the architecture of the house.
The exterior is clad with ceramic tiles in reddish and greyish tones, which resemble the earth of the terrain and contrast with the green and wood of the trees in the garden. This interplay between earth and green is transferred to the interior design, where terracotta mosaics are used in combination with wood in natural and mint green tones in strategic places such as the central staircase, the front of the living room and the kitchen furniture.
The LLO House has been designed to adapt perfectly to the plot and become a unique home, where every detail has been carefully considered to meet the needs and dreams of its inhabitants. In addition, its design seeks to allow the family to enjoy the natural beauty of the Sierra de Madrid.
