CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Our deep knowledge about the production of floor and wall tiles and our dedicated commitment to offer a superior quality, technological innovation and an extraordinary service is supported by our state-of-the-art facilities. Our facilities consist of a total of three production plants and two fully covered warehouses within a one million square metre complex in Castellón, Spain.
The production plants operate with the latest automated management technology for each of the different areas of pressing, drying, glazing, firing and grading, and include several quality controls throughout the process that are both manual and automatic.
Our commitment to the environment is backed by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates which demonstrate that our production methods are efficient and have a low impact on the environment and natural resources. There is a direct link between this and the recycling content of our products, which consists of a percentage ranging from 30% to 70% in most cases.
At Aparici we only produce high quality products because we believe that the durability we can achieve by producing high quality products is also an essential way of respecting and caring for the environment in the long term.
OUR HISTORY
Cerámicas Aparici stands for the highest manufacturing quality and innovative design. The premium ceramics and porcelain tiles of this family-owned company act as a driving force for the developments and trends of an entire industry and are present all over the world.
The success of our brand, as a tile manufacturer, is based on a principle that has been maintained for over 50 years, that of developing products that were never to be considered as a mere building material, but as an essential part of interior and architectural design with the guarantee of their excellent qualitative and aesthetic standards within everyone's reach.
It was in the 1940s when Maximiano Aparici began to produce handmade ceramic bisque tiles in a small kiln in the town of Alcora in Castellón, known since the 16th century for its important pottery tradition. These tiles were made from the same local red clay that had been used in the pottery, and which is still used today in our factories, although with the aim of then selling them to glazing workshops that applied colour and designs to the unglazed surface.
After two decades of making tiles himself in his kiln, Maximiano Aparici founded Cerámicas Aparici in 1961. The first Cerámicas Aparici factory was a great personal achievement because, despite being a small factory, it gave him the opportunity to start making tiles, including the final glazing process that he had not been able to carry out in his previous workshop. Thus began the manufacture of Aparici tiles using his double firing technique.
More than 50 years and three generations later, Cerámicas Aparici has become an exporting company present in more than 140 countries worldwide and different production plants in the town of Alcora and its surroundings. The essence and values of our company, however, have been kept following the heritage of Maximiano Aparici.
